The pressure in publishing and music is always the same: ship more. More titles. More singles. More SKUs so the storefront looks full.
We do the opposite.
Aqualis is a small catalog by design. That isn't a budget story — it's a quality and identity story. If everything ships under one name, every weak release teaches people what that name means.

Subtraction as strategy
A small catalog forces hard questions:
- Would we still stand behind this in three years?
- Does it strengthen the imprint, or just fill a slot?
- Is the packaging, rights, and story finished — or are we hoping the audience won't notice?
If the answer is fuzzy, it stays on the shelf. Silence is cheaper than a bad release.
What "small" still includes
Small doesn't mean empty. It means coherent:
- Practical books for working bands (Bandmate)
- Field guides for modern messaging (RCS)
- Music we produce and own (Music catalog)
Those lines talk to each other. The people who read Bandmate are not strangers to the people who license Venice Beats. One roof keeps the standard honest.
How to follow along
Browse the full catalog, read more from the studio, or get in touch if you're building something that fits the same bar.
